Introduction to Show
Learn how to use the Show to create, composite and organize all your video content.
The Show is the place for creating content:
Difference Scene / Compo
- A Scene is not a layer itself, iti s a collection of 2D Layer , like a sub-folder, that can have a main Timeline for the layers inside of that part. It does not have a target, only the layers inside of it have targets.
- A Compo is a 2D Layer that is a collection of layers that can be 2D Layer or 3D Layer , Shape layer , Text Generator , Camera etc. composited together and sent all together to a target. It can also have a local main Timeline .
Virtual / Rendered content
Content is always rendered within Content Map . Each Content Map contains a single video composition with a specific resolution. This means that Content Mapping can have very high virtual resolutions without affecting performance, as only the pixels within the actual Content Map will be rendered.
An interesting consequence of this is that layers with different targets can be blended together using any Blending Mode . In the example below, the “Perspective” text layer, which is camera-mapped using Content Mapping , can be blended with other layers using the ‘Multiply’ Blending Mode .
