Smode Server

Smode server are server known inside a Topology . If they are online, they will be impacted by all Topology project changes.

A smode server represents an instance of Smode running or that will run on a distant machine on the same network. Each smode server are synchronised, so the modifications made on the current Project Icon Project will be automatically tansmitted to every others smode server.

A smode server can be created in 2 differents ways:

From network discovery

Allready on stage and connected ? Launch every Servers thanks to the Smode Launcher application. Ensure all servers are watching the correct Network in Preferences->Engin->Network such as in Preferences->Application->Network Discover Configuration.

Right click on the Topology or a GroupHardware Icon Group topology -> Create Smode Server from discovery -> Select the one you want to add.

Manually created

Useful when you wan’t to setup your topology without stil being connected to the network.

Right click on the Topology or a GroupHardware Icon Group topology -> Hardwares -> Smode Server.

Then, simply fill the expected IP, port and Host name address of the server. Defines if it’s a Spare of another server in it’s parameter. Choose in Topology the Main server of your project.


Push project

A server can be temporally deactivated to do some modifications without affect the project of others server. this allows you to validate some stuff without taking the risk of outputing your changes. Once your modification done, Right click on another smode server to Push your version of the project to it. Do not forget to rejoin the topology by activating yourself.> In order to push simultaneously your project on different servers, right click on a GroupHardware Icon Group topology or directly on the Topology .

Pull project

You have been disconnected, or something happened and your current project is no more up to date compare to the one on another machine ? Right click on the smode server that have the up-to-date project, and pull it on your side with the Pull from command.
