Nothing easier, by default the ContentMap Icon Content Map are created with an opaque background.

To have a transparent background on your content maps, just go inside their ElementTreeWorkspaceComponent Icon Element Tree , select the root of the content map check the “alpha layer” box into it’s parameters:
