is not a layer itself, iti s a collection of

for the layers inside of that part.
It does not have a target, only the layers inside of it have targets. - A

Virtual / Rendered content
Content is always rendered within
Content Map
. Each Content Map contains a single video composition with a specific resolution.
This means that
Content Mapping
can have very high virtual resolutions without affecting performance, as only the pixels within the actual Content Map will be rendered.
An interesting consequence of this is that layers with different targets can be blended together using any
Blending Mode
.
In the example below, the “Perspective” text layer, which is camera-mapped using
Content Mapping
, can be blended with other layers using the ‘Multiply’
Blending Mode
.
